Lisa Walter
Sales Support Specialist

Whether she’s pursuing a homegrown passion for baking or supporting customers with their orders, Lisa Walter has a similar drive – always seeking perfection!

Lisa is a Sales Support Specialist based in Rockford, Minnesota. In her role, she processes orders and handles queries for our Minnesota and Illinois production sites. She works mainly on orders for packaging products but is also involved with foam for garage doors.

She’s been with Inokor and its predecessors since 2022, arriving with 25 years of experience in customer service at her previous company. After such a long spell, she wanted a change of scene and to work with new people and products. She is very happy with the move. It is the interactions with customers and colleagues that Lisa enjoys most about her job.

One of Lisa’s daily tasks is to check on orders and stock at all the sites in the country, making it easy to respond to customers and assess potential lead times. Motivated by a desire to do her best, Lisa is happiest when orders run smoothly and when she can successfully resolve issues facing customers. “Many of our customers order on a regular basis but there are times when an urgent need will suddenly arise,” she explains. “When that happens, I discuss options with the production team to see how we can help the customer out – it may depend on the availability of material or the size of the jobs currently on the production line.”

A strong sense of belonging to the wider Inokor family

The size of the team at Rockford – about 40 people in all - is perfect for Lisa to know everyone. At the same time, she feels part of the wider Inokor family: “We regularly have visitors here from Ireland - including upper management who always stop for a chat. It doesn’t feel like they are far away at all.”

Planet Passionate also creates a unifying theme across the Kingspan Group and aligns with her own concerns and values. “I read the newsletters about what is happening around the world with Planet Passionate and it is amazing to me the impact it has. It’s something I try to live by personally and professionally,” she says. “We can’t ignore these issues, or what will happen to our planet for our grandchildren? I want there to be a good world for them to live in.”

Next stop, Masterchef?

Her two grandchildren also play a role in her home-based passion for baking. “I love to bake - mainly cakes, pies and desert bars,” she says. “I enjoy trying new recipes and look for things that may be challenging. Sometimes they turn out great, sometimes they don’t! This weekend, I’m baking a new recipe – honey walnut cups which have sugar cookie dough on the outside and are filled with a mix of honey, walnuts and brown sugar.”

Lisa’s lucky friends and family share the results. In particularly, she enjoys cooking for her grandchildren who she describes as the joys of her life. Careful planning goes into food when they come to visit – and she cooks with them too.

Might we see Lisa compete on a television cookery show one day? “I’ve thought about it,” she says. “I did go so far as looking at the application for Masterchef. However, I like to cook as a hobby – maybe if I did it more seriously, I wouldn’t enjoy it so much.”
